About Dr. Fred Leslie and the Seminole Family Health Center
“We combine the art of healing with the art of caring.”
Dr. Leslie is a doctor of osteopathic medicine (D.O.) and a practicing family physician who specializes in primary care, osteopathic manipulative therapy, and minor urgent care. Our office is committed to providing not only the highest quality emergency services at our walk-in clinic, but also ongoing preventative care to all our patients as a family doctor. We treat chronic issues such as back pain and neck pain, diabetes, high blood pressure, intestinal problems, and more. Dr. Leslie also takes special interest in anti-aging techniques and has completed his continuing education on this topic.
The Seminole Family Health Center also believes in providing affordable health care to everyone in the Indian Shores, Redington, Madeira Beach and surrounding areas, and in our attempt to do so, we accept most major insurances and offer a pre-paid discount to uninsured patients.
Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine
The difference between a regular doctor and osteopathic physicians is that a D.O. treats the cause of a problem, rather than just the symptoms. Doctors of osteopathic medicine require four years of medical college with an additional two years of musculoskeletal training. This means that in addition to prescribing medication and performing minor surgeries at our walk-in clinic, Dr. Leslie treats the whole body, making use of techniques such as manipulative therapy to diagnose and treat his patients.
Dr. Fred Leslie graduated with his doctorate from Kansas City College of Osteopathic Medicine (now known as the University for Health Sciences), and became a board certified D.O.in 1982. He is also a registered pharmacist.
